Pizza Night FAQs

We ask that you please read these before your first order/visit…
or if it’s been awhile!

  • Sprouting Acres is proud to offer hand-tossed, wood-fired pizza, other house-made food items, cold bevvies, and live music out on the farm on the first and third Sundays (only) from 2:30-8:00 pm, seasonally from May through October.

It’s delightfully clear to us that Cambridge’s secret is out, and our pizza nights have become a wildly popular community event. Pro-tip for our newcomers: Pre-planning will best set you up for a your most enjoyable experience! Read on:

ONLINE PRE-ORDERING goes live one week in advance of the next pizza night – watch for the email notification (or check our website) the prior Sunday morning/early afternoon. We normally sell out of our pre-order availability within 12-24 hours, often less! Best way to get notified? Subscribe to our farm email list (scroll to the very bottom of this page, fill out the yellow box!)

WALK-IN ORDERS: We highly recommend placing your order in advance, BUT we do save some availability for walk-in orders. However, please know that walk in orders are limited and normally sell out on the earlier side of the day. So, if you are hoping for a walk-in pizza order, try to come closer to 3:00p than 7:00p, if you catch our drift! :)

Our busiest time is between 4:00-6:30 pm, so expect longer wait times (30-60 minutes) if you walk-in without a pre-order during that time period.

If you miss both the online pre-order window and our walk-in pizzas are sold out by the time you get here, we do offer a limited variety of other food items to choose from, such as sandwiches, salads, and treats.

You can make a day/night of it with us, enjoy our land, and play and dine on the farm; OR you can get your order for takeout!

  • Please use our online ordering system!

Online ordering opens the Sunday morning/early afternoon prior to the next pizza night. If you are subscribed to our farm email list, you will get an email as soon as the pre-ordering is live.

Online orders close at 8:00 pm the night before pizza Sunday – BUT normally all pre-order spots are reserved well before then, in which case the ordering window closes early.

This doesn't mean we are completely sold out… it does mean that the remainder of our spots are for (limited) walk-in orders only on the day of event.

Our busiest time is between 4:00-6:30 pm, so expect longer wait times (30-60 minutes) if you walk-in without a pre-order during that time period.

Note that we do NOT accept call-in orders.

  • Yes, we accept all major credit cards and mobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc).

  • 100%! We love kids! (Have three of our own!) We’ve got plenty of room for the little ones to run around! In fact, kid-focused “features” include a fun outdoor play area, sandbox, games, and tinker wall.

  • We love pets (have five of our own!) – but please leave yours at home.

If you have a pet, we can happily box up your order to go.

  • We sell a variety of food and beverages at the farm for you to enjoy. We ask that you please not carry in outside food or beverages.

  • We have some chairs, tables, and covered areas, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic blanket, chairs, and/or sun umbrella for backup in case they are all being used. Pack your sunscreen on sunny evenings!

We kindly ask that you NOT bring pets, outside food, or carry-in beverages – thank you for your understanding!

  • Our address is 1746 WI-73 in scenic Cambridge, Wisconsin. Our entrance is a narrow gravel road – look for vertical banner that says "Wood Fire Pizza."

  • If you are planning to enjoy the evening at the farm, follow the signs to park in our upper lot. Please drive carefully and park in designated parking areas only.

We ask that you please pull up to the parking rope at an angle to ensure there is enough room for all cars to safely enter and exit.

Then walk down the hill towards the pond to the grassy area in front of the blue barn – you can’t miss us!

To access the handicap parking spots, please drive all the way down to the blue barn and look for the signs.

  • Follow the signage down to the blue barn for pick up, text the number on the sign, and your order will be brought out to you as soon as possible.

  • If you pre-ordered online, your food will be ready around the time you reserved. Please pay attention to the time, so you can pick it up promptly, fresh and hot out of the oven! If you have been waiting more than 15 minutes past your pre-order time, please come check in with a staff member.

If you placed a walk-in order, your wait time will vary. Your order will be added to the first available hour time slot; the cashier can tell you which hour time slot your order will be added to. (Example: if you order at 5pm and get the 6pm time slot, you will get your pizza between 6-7pm.) If you have been waiting past your hour time slot, please come check in with a staff member.

  • The majority of our guests sit out in the field to see the live music stage and enjoy the surroundings.

Indoor seating is available in the air-conditioned blue barn as well as in our event hoop house (to the right of the stage).

The porch is also great for customers needing handicap-accessible seating.

Bring your own chairs, picnic blankets, and sun umbrellas. We also have limited tables and chairs set out in the field for use.

  • We are fortunate to have some of the best local bands in the area come out play for our Sprouting Acres pizza nights! Scroll down on this page for the full line-up!

We typically have music from 5:00-7:30pm. Occasionally, we’ll have open mic performances earlier in the afternoon.

  • We have inside seating in the blue barn and the event hoop house (to the right of the stage).

If there is a downpour, you can change your order for curbside to-go pick up. Just pull up, text the curbside number that is posted on the sign, and we’ll bring it out to you.

  • Of course! We have four public restrooms:

There’s a handicap accessible restroom that includes a baby changing station inside the blue barn.

There are two outdoor porto-potties to the right of the music stage.

Finally, there’s a third restroom with a composting toilet through the back door of the event hoophouse (to the right of the stage).

There are also several hand washing and hand sanitizer stations outside on the property for your use.
