Cooking Classes with Andy

Pull up a seat in the new barn for some food and fun. Farmer Andy will trade in his overalls for his apron for a laid back cooking class that you’re sure to enjoy. Sign up for one of his scheduled classes (below!) or ask him to create a custom menu for you and your group.

Andy has more than 20 years of professional cooking experience and over 10 years experience running cooking classes. His classes are packed full of delicious recipes, as well as food tips and tricks. (And of course you’ll be tasting all the goodies!) Occasionally, we also have guest chefs host special classes so keep an eye out for these fun experiences!

Join Andy at the farm for a class filled with delicious pasta dishes.

We will warm up the Blue Barn making different pastas including:

  • Bacon and Tomato Linguine with Basil

  • Chicken Piccata with Penne

  • Fettuccine with Beef Tips, Walnuts, and Gorgonzola-brandy Cream Sauce

  • Orecchiette with Mixed Greens and Goat Cheese.

Make sure you arrive with an empty stomach!! Beverages are included.

Wood-Fired Pizza Cooking Class

From Dough to Delicious!

Our pizza classes include making, stretching, and shaping your dough; a variety of fresh topping choices; cooking your masterpiece in our wood-fired oven… and, of course, relaxing at our pastoral farm while you eat your masterpiece.

Class includes the delicious food you make, adult beverages, and fun times. Bring a friend, family member, or any pizza aficionado and watch your creation from start to finish.

Cooking with Beer

One of Chef Andy's favorite beverages is beer, and what better way to enjoy one than with some food made with it. So come on out to the farm to learn some tasty recipes using – you guessed it – beer!

Andy will be making:

  • Fresh Pretzel Bites with a Beer-Cheese Dip

  • Drunken Cabbage with Pork Tenderloin

  • Beer Braised Sausage with Warm Potato Salad

Kick back, enjoy some beer or wine, make some new friends, and fill up with a chef’s tasting of all three recipes.

Scrumptious Spring Salads

One thing we have a lot of in the Spring on the farm is salad ingredients. Join Andy at the farm for some fresh meals using produce from the farm and more! Bring a friend, have a drink, and eat some great food.

Andy will be making:

  • Salmon Nicoise Salad with Asparagus

  • Bright Spring Salad with Farm Fresh Veggies, Lemon, and Fresh Herbs

  • Quick Cabbage Salad

  • Andy’s Famous Chicken Caesar Salad (famous at his house at least!)

Sizzling Summer Salads

Spend some time out at the farm with Farmer Andy for a delicious night filled with fresh summer salads.

We will be making three scrumptious salads:

  • Grilled Summer Squash with Red Onion and Feta Side Salad

  • Steak Salad with Avocado, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumbers, and Shallot Vinaigrette

  • Tahini-Veggie Salad with Braised Chicken Thighs

Bring a friend, relax, learn some new recipes, eat some great food, and have some fun. This is how we do it on the farm!

Dinner on a Budget

Making food on a budget doesn't have to mean boring family dinners. Learn how to make great meals without breaking the bank! You will learn how to save some money by buying larger cuts of meat for multiple meals and learn how to make some delicious meals with them. Fill up on food and beverages and have some fun!

Andy will be making:

  • Fruit-glazed pork loin chop and couscous with seasonal pan fried vegetables

  • Cajun Sausage and Rice Skillet

  • Chicken and Chorizo Burrito Bowl – that everyone will love!

Vegetarian Cooking

Join Andy out on the farm for a full night of delectable vegetarian recipes.

All dishes will be packed with Sprouting Acres organic vegetables and so much flavor. We will be making:

  • Veggie Burgers

  • Vegan Ramen (perfect for the upcoming fall and winter!)

  • Easy Coconut Curry

  • A delicious Buddha bowl

Come to the farm for some delicious recipes and enjoy an evening with good friends and food. Beverages are included.
