Good morning and welcome to week 11 of your CSA at Sprouting Acres.

The weather is a little Autumn like and great to work in. We hope you enjoy the melons and your weekend. This is an ODD numbered box week so EOW boxes are only at these sites, Farm/Cambridge/Stoughton/Amtelco/Monona/Oregon.

What a stormy morning! We are still on for pizza on the farm later today and it looks like the storms will be out of the general area. The grass might be wet but we do have plenty of seating inside, AC for taming the humidity when it comes around, and great music. In Bed By 9 will be our musical guests again tonight and we have some great food as well! Our seasonal special this week is curry roasted farm veggies with a tomato cream sauce. We also have some delicious popsicles, peach frozen yogurt, cookies, and brownies available.

We open up at 3:30 and begin taking orders at 4:00. Bring a chair, bring a friend and bring the family.

Hello and welcome to week 9! We are getting onions pulled in from the field and they are drying in the greenhouse with a lot of fans. We got 1 1/2 inches of rain the other night and very happy about it. We hope you make some great food this weekend.

Hello and welcome to week 8 of your CSA. We are having to harvest some crops daily now that the summer veggies are really starting to pop. Zucchini and cucumbers are exploding and tomatoes are about to begin.

We hope you try some new recipes this weekend and eat up all your food.

Hello and welcome to week 7!

We are nice and rested after our family vacation to Canada and already back into the swing of things. Unfortunately our computer is having problems and this email is being sent out from a tablet. We will have to keep it short this week. We have cherry tomatoes coming on strong that we have to pick almost every day. They're delicious and hard to stop eating.  The week off also allowed several other crops to really size up. The zucchini are delicious as well as beautiful. We're getting fall crops seeded in the ground and transplants in as well. Thanks for letting us take a week off and sneak in a vacation!

Remember, this is week 7, check your calendar to make sure this is a pick up week for you. In the boxes this week you will find....

Cherry tomatoes

Celery

Basil

Sweet onion

Garlic

Green cabbage

Kale

Broccoli

Italian zucchini

Have a great week and eat some veggies!

Happy Sunday! The weather is amazing right in time for our first July pizza night. Head to Stoughton to see some amazing free music at the Catfish River Music Festival, sneak out for a pizza, and get back for the end of the Stoughton Fair fireworks at 9:00. We have a new cheese board on the menu as well as strawberry-yogurt popsicles as well as great pizzas. Take a walk along the farm paths while you wait or just for the scenery.

We hope to see you out at the farm!

Hello and welcome to week 5. It sure feels like a Wisconsin summer now with the humidity and heat. One reminder,  remember that we deliver boxes on Wednesday this week because of the holiday on Thursday and there will not be any boxes on Thursday, July 18th. Box #7 will happen on Thursday, July 25th. Here is the link to the calendar if you need it again. I recommend printing it and sticking it up on the fridge.
