Good morning and happy Fathers' Day to you, your dad, your dad's dad and so on. The weather is a bit gloomy this morning but the rain looks like it is over and we saw a little sun in the forecast for this afternoon. What better way to celebrate the day than with pizza! The gate open at 4 p.m. and we'll start cooking pizzas at 4:30. We will also have our cheesy-garlic pull apart bread and a delicious lettuce salad with farm carrots and cucumbers, pickled shallots and a fresh herb vinaigrette. We have music tonight by Dana Perry out of Madison. She can be found at Dana Perry Music on Facebook.

Here is the link to our regular menu. Farm Pizza Night Menu. Seasonal pizzas and desserts are listed on the board at the farm. Tonight we will be running a 12" pizza with house made tomato sauce, oyster and cremini mushrooms, green garlic, asparagus and asiago cheese. We will also have a limited number of rhubarb bars baked today for our seasonal dessert.

No reservations needed. Get there early to beat the line and to have some time to walk around the farm.

Construction note: Hwy B from N to 73 is currently closed. Hwy A from 51 to 73 is open. 12&18 from Madison to 73 South is a nice drive and the interstate is open with reduced speeds.

See ya tonight!

Have a great weekend!

We hope you are enjoying this amazing weather and your produce as well. We have a couple of things we forgot to mention in the newsletter. Firstly, we forgot to include ideas/recipes for the cilantro bunch. It would make a great addition to a green garlic pesto or even a little in a vinaigrette for a salad or a dressing to drizzle on grilled veggies or chicken.

We also wanted to remind you to please check off your names on the sheet at your pickup. That helps us figure out who came and who didn't by the end of the night. We did realize we hadn't peeled off all the old labels and there was some confusion at a couple sites. That was our mistake and it won't happen again! Sorry about that. We thought we got them all off when we washed them.

Lastly, we wanted to send out the first box pic yesterday but didn't get a chance so here it is. Have a great weekend and we hope to see some of you at market tomorrow or at pizza night next week for Fathers Day. If you need a gift idea, we have gift cards for our markets and for pizza nights. Just saying.

Hello and welcome to the first Main Season CSA Share from Sprouting Acres. We have had a cool and wet spring but things are growing. We will have new veggies as soon as next week. Your goal for this summer is to eat a salad or two from each box you get. We are going to try hard to get you lettuce all summer. It's a hard thing to do in WI but we're going to give it a go.

If you are new to our CSA, please feel free to contact Andy with any questions. We want to make sure you get your first box without any problems. The boxes are labeled this season so please do not take a box unless you see your name on the label. We also ask that you don't take the black plastic boxes home. They are pricey and the less places they travel to, the less beat up and cracked they get. Please bring a bag or box to the site to pick up your share. We will line each tote with a plastic liner that can also be lifted out and carried home with you.

You will receive a newsletter every Wednesday night or Thursday morning even if you are an Every Other Week (EOW) share and it isn't your week. We want you to get the news, pics and other info that we include on the newsletters. You can also head to our website and scroll through all our newsletters in the news/blog section on the right.

Click on this Newsletter Link for the week's news, recipes and pics.

Below are the pickup addresses and times for your reference. Please call Andy if you have any questions the day of pickup, or any time.

We did send out a calendar last week that breaks down the dates for Every Other Week boxes so don't forget to check to make sure it's a pickup week for you.

Have a great weekend! These emails will be much shorter in a week or so!

Good Morning!!

The weather looks great for pizza this evening, so why don't you head out to the farm and get some! Take a walk around the farm to see where we grow loads of organic produce and get filled up on fresh, wood fired pizza and other treats. Our seasonal special will be sunflower seed and spring greens pesto, fresh mozzarella, and farm fresh spinach. We have more options to choose from including gluten free. Head to this link to our website to get the rest of the details. We have Olivia Panthofer as our musical guest too. If you plan to eat outside, the grass may still be wet so you might want to bring a chair. We do have a construction update, Hwy A is "closed" for repaving at Coachmens golf resort, so you can take Church Rd. or Maple Grove to get around that area. We hope to see you out there tonight.
